The United States’ role in World War 1 remained neutral and did not intervene in the war in the beginning. The president, Woodrow Wilson, at the time, maintained the United States out of the way from the war because he believed that the American interests would not be affected in any war because of the war if the trade was not disturbed and/or obstructed. The United States was not in the war but had strong trade with nations that were involved in the war. Unfortunately, the United States entered the war on April 6th, 1917 due to Germany’s unrestricted submarine warfare. When the United States got involved in the war, they were included in the side of the allies with Britain, France, Russia and Italy. Their enemies were the Central Powers which included Germany, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria.
